Westkaai project is located in the Antwerp docklands at the Kattendijkdok. This neighbourhood called 't Eilandje (Little Island) is one of the only former European ports located inside the historical city walls at less than 1 km of the cathedral and the Grand Place.
This € 150 million, 6 tower project designed by world renown architects is the largest inner city development project in Antwerp in over 30 years. The very particular port atmosphere is being respected while smoothened with carefully designed landscaped gardens, parks and promenades along the quayside.
By September 2009 the first 2 towers designed by Diener&Diener (Basel - CH) and comprising 87 luxury apartments will be completed. David Chipperfield (London) and Gigon/Guyer (Zurich) design the next 4 towers. The gardens, parks and promenade are designed by landscape architect Michel Desvigne from Paris.
